House Guest

Princess Jaz has come for a visit.  I’m not convinced that she "gets" the camera…but by the end of our week, she will be a natural for sure!  Lisa, she walked the kids to school this morning and was a HUGE hit.  She has many adoring fans already.  Rest easy, she’s in good hands.

LOVE her tooth!

Dena,
Are you going to keep her?
Dad

Ha! That is SO NOT an option!!

Rebecca - October 31, 2006 - 11:40 pm

She’s soooo cute. Are you sure you can’t keep her? He he, just kidding (I know how Hy would feel about it).

But I bet it makes you miss Marley . . .

Keep a look out!

I will have a premier ad coming up in the November issue of ABC magazine very soon!  Here is a sneak peek at part of the ad.  This is my poster child Maddie.  We had a fun time one afternoon just sitting around chatting and getting to know each other.  I love the natural relaxed moments that become great meaningful photographs.  She sees this photograph and remembers our afternoon, I see this photograph and remember making a good friend!

So pick up a copy of ABC magazine this November 1st.  Bring it to our session and I will give you a £50 print credit on your order!

Dena, I finally found this link off of your Blog site. Great job. How about sending me a copy of the ad. I would enjoy seeing it.

Dad

He turns *8*!

We have birthday #1 out of the way of our big birthday season.  Our household has all 4 of our birthdays within a month, on top of halloween and Thanksgiving.  It’s like one big party.

Happy Birthday dear sweet Aidan.  I absolutely cannot accept that you are 8 years old now.  Someone tell me how that little lump curled up inside of me and then snuggled up in my arms *just yesterday* has turned into this uber intelligent, joyful, sassy, curious, long-limbed, knock-kneed, toothy-grinned BIG kid?!  Yes I have spent the weekend looking through shoeboxes filled with photographs of him throughout the  years, and shedding tears here and there…but EIGHT years?  It doesn’t seem real.  No matter, I think this is going to be a great year for you–but could you just slow down on the growing up part just a wee bit for me?

The kids are on half-term holiday this week and there WILL be a new photo session with the new 8 year old to look forward to.  Mark my words!

Happy Birthday, Aidan!!
And hey, knock off on the growing stuff. Your little hand is supposed ot fit in mine, not my little hand in yours.
Loves, and hugs, and kisses,
Nona

Happy Birthday Aidan. Wow 8 years young. Dena, I remember your eighth birthday. You were still my precious princess from… etc. I look forward to the photo shoot. I sure miss you guys and hope that we can get Curves settled soon so that we can visit.

Love Dad

Happy Birthday to Aidan, Happy Birthday to Aidan, Happy Biiiiirthday to Aiiiiidan . . . Happy Birthday to Aidan.

Geez, Dena, your post had me tearing up too. Someone needs to invent some sort of growth inhibitor, eh?

Bad blogger, Bad!

I have been such a bad blogger this month.  We are still here and I ALWAYS have something to say or show… I have just been a bit distracted by a project I have cooking up.  Apologies.  I will share something right now.  Next post!

Patsy Dunn - October 25, 2006 - 3:48 am

I have been checking every day for something new, but alas, it wasn’t there.
Love ya anyway,

Rebecca Mudrick - October 26, 2006 - 1:41 am

Yes, bad blogger. Very, very bad!!! Hee hee. So glad to see you’re posting again.

Thank you Gemma

Most times the connection I make with children extends beyond that of ‘the photographer.’  I am pleased to receive postcards from little friends in Boston who tout me as their buddy and tell all their friends about me (don’t worry I’ll be back next year!) I get to watch the babies grow and reach milestones. Some kids even gift me with drawings, paintings, love letters or seashells collected at our session.  Here is the latest example, from Gemma.  Thank you.  And you even used my favorite colors!!  I save every one of these tokens in my treasure box.  If you send them, I will show them here…
