Ahh!! That’s better.

June 30, 2008

I can see!!  And all this time I thought something was wrong with my eyes.

£10 paid out to a certain 9 year old boy for his assistance (which consisted of a lot of “you missed a spot”s) and we now have a house full of squeaky clean sparkly see-through windows.

allclear

whew.  Now my next project…that’s a doozy.  I have feeling it will cost me a lot more than £10.  Stay tuned.

Paul Dunn: Money is a great motivator (along with lots of encouragement from Mom/Dad) to a nine year old boy. Dad

Patsy Dunn: How about sending that nine year old boy to house to help wash my windows? I would pay him good.

dena: nope. Sorry, he is MY slave, I mean, assistant.

Patsy Dunn: Hmmmm, I remember having a girl of various ages who was my slave, er assistant.

Rebecca: Holy squeeky clean Batman! Wowzers girl. Big Big Big improvement. House is probably a little brighter too! Yay!!!

Don’t Laugh at me

June 29, 2008

SO, I have One Project A Month as prompted by Rebecca and Tara Whitney.   Trust me, my house IS a project. If I could, I would need to do One Project A DAY and then perhaps I could make a dent in the list within a year…sigh…

I know I have only one day left in this month…I am posting a ‘before’ picture to hold me accountable.  Call me on it, k?

Like I said, don’t laugh.

Behold my kitchen window:

Nope, it is not raining outside.  In fact, the outside of the window is quite clean.  The not-so-funniest part is that I pay two strapping young half-clothed men £16 every month to wash the outside of my windows and yet, the inside never gets washed.  So, with one day left in this month, I WILL wash my windows tomorrow.  All of them.  And when my two strapping young half-clothed men come wash the windows this month perhaps I will even SEE what they look like.  Go ahead and laugh, I deserve it.  I am sure Rebecca is having a good roll right now…

Rebecca: Uh huh. I'm have a *very* good roll right now. Thanks for the chuckle. :) Go OPAM!

4 teeth and 2 feet

Oh My.  Somebody stop the clock.

4teeth

2feet

Julie: it all goes by sooooo fast! kiss them all from their auntie Julie, will ya?

Reb: Look at that big boy! I can't believe he's going to be walking soon ... Give him an extra squeeze for me today and tell him to stop growing up so fast. xoxo

Paul Dunn: I can hardly wait to see you all. August is so far off. Teeth and feet becomes a feat. All of your kids are cute and pretty and handsome. Love ya Dad

Tanya: Cameron looks just as suprised to be standing on those 2 feet as I am to see it! love his hair. XOXO

Dragons

June 17, 2008

According to 9-year old boys this is the best place to find baby dragons.

dragons

According to 6-year old girls, if I am ever going to see a baby dragon I need to stop looking with my camera and start looking with my heart.

According to 1-year old boys, baby dragons are very tasty.  Crunchy on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. Very tasty indeed.

Life.  It’s all in how you look at it.

Paul Dunn: How very true. How wise can a 9/6/1 year old really be?? See you soon. Dad

Julie: Maybe I should get out there with the boys and go on a fairy and dragon hunt, too! You are such a cool mom. Loves to you, Julie

One Short Year

June 10, 2008

In One Short Year.  I have changed nearly 2200 diapers.  Endured 360 nights of interrupted sleep.  Lived through 365 days of worry and concern and undeniable love and awe.  Tickled a cute little belly at least 900 times.  Scrubbed pureed peas and avocado off the kitchen floor daily.  Sang ‘You are My Sunshine’ 500 times.  Kissed 11 boo boos.  Received hundreds of special ‘forehead kisses.’  Felt my heart expand to nearly bursting too many times to count.  In One Short Year.  He has gained 13 pounds while I lost ten.  He has consumed jugs and jugs and gallons and gallons of milk.  He has laughed, giggled and cooed to his heart’s content.  Thoroughly absorbed the world around him. Leapt forward to toddlerhood. Captured the heart of everyone he’s met.  He has made my world a brighter and better place.

Jessica: Awww, what a great tribute to what sounds like a "perfect" year with your beautiful family. I LOOOOVE the last photo...that child is so cute and he looks like he is thoroughly enjoying his cake:) Happy Birthday little man!

Reb: Yep ... he captured my heart the moment I saw him. I MISS THAT BABY! Warms my heart just thinking about him and his FIRST birthday. Happy Birthday sweet Cameron. May each year of your life be as wonderful and blessed as this first.

Patsy Dunn: Too cute, too precious, too cuddly, too delicious for words. I love them all. Nona

Paul Dunn: Everytime I see a picture of Cameron, India, or Aidan I just get all humbled and quiet -- warm feelings all over and my soul delights in the joy of knowing that they are so very special and that I get to be their Grandfather (popa). Dena, I really appreciate your special artistic photography and your exciting thoughts and reflections that you share along with your photography. Happy Birthday Cameron. Hope to be able to see you all soon. Popa

Jessica: His eyes are absolutely precious. I bet he can get away with most anything when he gives that look!
