Rebecca: Yup, agree with Hy. India does look just like you and is *gorgeous*!!! Love the mermaid hair. Don't worry, it's not just her . . . Joshua was wearing his pajama pants on his head tonight. I love kids!
Patsy Dunn: You forgot: Parking lot = Car Park The baked beans I got for breakfast was just plain pork and beans.
Reb: Would have been helpful if this info was here *before* I jumped the pond last year. I feel much more educated now. Miss you guys!
Reb: Wow. Thank you! You sure know how to make a girl feel special. What great birthday signs, funny faces, and enthusiasm in general. I'm grinning from ear to ear. Thank you, thank you, thank you! R. P.S. India, I'm loving the birthday dance. You know how to shake it girl!
Reb: The cherry pics are making me jealous of your new lens! Love the color, especially. Also glad to be "introduced" to beloved Grandpa Dean. I know he was (and still is) very special to you.
Paul Dunn: Dena, Nice Legend/Story. I actually remember that picture of Grandpa Quarnberg with the hanky on his head, He really knew how to act up and to be a kid with you kids. We all loved him and we all miss him. He will forever be in our minds. Happy Birthday Grandpa(Dad) Love Ya Dad
Patsy Dunn: Wait a minute. My dad, grandpa Dean DID walk at least 6 miles to school through 6 feet of snow uphill both ways. He told me so.
Patsy Dunn: A little update. I called my mom and read this story to her. She clarified the story of Dad walking in the snow up-hill both ways. He also pushed the bus. hee, hee.
Paul Dunn: Dena, At first, I thought that the title of this entry was "Summer of my Shaggy Dog", I guess that my eye dropped down to the next entry. Nevertheless -- Aidan is shaggy. I have a pair of sheep shears if you need to borrow them. -- Love ya Aidan Love Dad
Reb: Very sweet essay. Makes me miss Marley too - because I know how much you miss her. Hang in there girl.
Me: Tribute to a Dog The one absolutely unselfish friend that a man can have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him, the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous, is his dog. A man's dog stands by him in prosperity and in poverty, in health and in sickness. He will sleep on the cold ground, where the wintry winds blow and the snow drives fiercely, if only he may be near his master's side. He will kiss the hand that has no food to offer; he will lick the wounds and sores that come in encounters with the roughness of the world. He guards the sleep of his pauper master as if he were a prince. When all friends desert, he remains. When the riches take wing and reputation falls to pieces, he is as constant in his love as the sun in its journey through the heavens. -- Senator George Vest, 1870
Rebecca: No, really? Sworn off chocolate? India!?! Wow. Maybe I should follow her example. I want to be famous someday too.
dena robles: famous. me too. but the chocolate is coming with me!
Paul Dunn: India, I have found a new special chocolate that is really really scruptious. It is very dark semi-sweet creamy Cadbury Chocolate bar, that I believe you would really like and make an exception to your new rule. It is an English company and makes great Chocolate candies. Love Popa Dunn
Patsy Dunn: What! No more Kindereggs? India, I read an article today that says one square of dark chocolate helps you live longer because it has good stuff called antioxidants. It didn't say how large a piece is a square of chocolate. You can live long, be famous AND eat chocolate. My problem is I like milk chocolate. darn!

Paul Dunn: Dena, It rains more in England than in Portland. Dad
Rebecca: Hmmm . . . it is sunny and cool in Boston . . . tempted?
Lydia: Our bedroom flooded from all of the rain in New Haven last night. Jealous?!?
dena robles: Oh No Lydia! Okay okay the sun does come out here once in awhile, I'll put up some sunny pics soon.
